2021 Syrah, Rancho Réal Vineyard
Santa Maria Valley
A co-ferment of Syrah with a discreet percentage of Viognier, reminiscent of the wines of St. Joseph in the Northern Rhône. A cool, long growing season enhanced the expression of rotundone (white pepper). 50% whole cluster. Aged in used barrique. Bottled unfiltered.

Precise and detailed, with handsome raspberry and dried cherry flavors that take on highlights of savory meat, licorice and black olive, finishing with medium-grained tannins. Drink now through 2032. 1,166 cases made.
